It is always necessary to set up trigger objects during a ghost hunt. Try to use some thing relevant to the haunt ing. For example, if the ghost is that of a monk, try using a crucifix. Other effec tive trigger objects include pieces of material, flowers and coins familiar to the believed spectre.

You need to place trigger objects where they will not be disturbed by other investigators. Ideally this should be in a secured area, but this is not always pos sible. Once you have decided where to place your object, place it on a plain piece of paper and draw round it so that you can see its exact position. Leave the object unattended for some time; on your return check to see if it has been moved or, indeed, if it has been asported. This experiment is particularly effective in ghost research and it has brought spectacular results on many occasions.
