The nuns skull

A nun was murdered in Fawkhans Green by men who were trying to rape her. Valiantly, she fought them off but in doing so, she lost her life. Now her ghost haunts Pennis Lane in Fawkham Green, and her screams, as xvcll as the sounds of horses’ hooves, can he heard at night. No doubt, the racing hooves arc the sound of the men escaping.

The nun’s skull remains at Pennis House and most never be moved. Once, the villagers did try removing it in order to give it a proper, Christian burial in the churchyard.
