On 21 September 1978 Kenneth Bull and his wife were coming to the end of their holiday at Bridgnorth. They took a bus to a nearby village to visit the local church and then decided to walk back down a small country lane, On the road they saw a sign saying ‘Boldings Farm’ and ahead of them a low wall of red bricks across the road.
As they went further down the road Mr Bull saw that the wall ended at what seemed to be a tall ruined farmhouse made of the same bricks. They both looked away and when they looked back moments later found that the structures had disap peared completely. It appears that only Mr Bull saw the farm house although both saw the wall itself.
A study of ordnance survey maps of the area dating back as far as 1842 revealed no such structures. The time slip theory is, of course, only one possibility and if correct perhaps involved a spatial’ slip as well. Or could it have been a vision of ‘future’ time?
