His Majesty’s Theatre

His Majesty’s Theatre was built in 1904 and has been the venue for a great variety of performances since then. In the early 1940s the theatre saw tragedy when one of the stagehands working there, a man called Jake, was killed in an accident by a stage hoist. Jake still haunts the theatre, and a variety of strange happenings, from disappearing objects to shadowy appearances and strange noises, are associated with his ghost.
