We know that energy is either positive or negative and that positive energy attracts positive energy and nega tive energy attracts negative energy. In most cases, the energy that flows along ley lines seems to be positive. However if a ley line hits a negative location, that is one that is inhabited by a negative, evil or malevolent conscious entity or a location that has witnessed high levels of torment and tragedy, it is possible for the energy field of that location to become negative.
Once a site has become negative it seems to feed only on negative energies and thus attracts negative spirits.
Ley lines on negative sites become black streams, and the genius loci often becomes fore boding, unpleasant, gloomy and in extreme cases, frightening. The effects in this situation are not caused by a ghost but by the presence of negative energy. However, if a negative entity is also present, this can worsen the effect. Some locations on black streams suffer high levels of frightening or unpleasant psychic phenomena, but it is important to remember that most ghost entities do not cause direct harm to the living, and the most common way for ghosts to harm a person is by creating intense fear.
