Local legend has it that down in the cellar of the white swan hides the entrance to a tunnel which once ran to the nearby church of st Bartholomews.The current landlord and his relatives have all experienced strange going on inside the building. The sense of being watched, hearing footsteps some staff refuses to go down to the cellar.
