PCC Registered Members

If you are experiencing problems with accessing your account, this guide should help you to resolve the most common issues.

I am not a member and don't have any login details.

Only our current members may hold membership accounts. If you wish to apply to become a PCC Registered you will need to read the Pre-Registration notes in full before making your online application for membership. These documents can be found on our main 'Information' page.


I have never been issued any login details.

There are two main reasons why you may not have any login details.

1. You registered at a time when we were offering passwords to accounts but there was one or more of the following problems:

a) You typed an email address that was invalid.
b) Your email service was not operational when we tried to issue your login details.
c) Your email service deleted our message as spam.
d) Your email service refused to accept our mail.
e) Our own server experienced a problem when sending the mail.

2. The information you provided was incomplete or indicated that you had not read the Pre-Registration notes, examples are:

a) We could not create any login details for you because you do not have an email address.
b) You weren't entitled to membership because you do not reside within the British Isles.
c) You did not provide your full name or a valid postal contact address.

You will need to read the Pre-Registration notes in full before making a new online application for provisional membership. These documents can be found on the main 'Information' page.


I am a current member of and have lost or forgot my login details.

If you have previously been issued some login details but have lost or forgotten your login details. You may be able to obtain a new password if:
a) You know your unique membership number.
b) You know which email address you used to register with us and you can still receive email at that email address.

If you are unable to receive email at the email address you used when registering, please contact us, our details are below.


I am a current member and have updated my email address with you since registering.

Updating your email address should not cause login problems.


My login details do not work, could I be typing the details incorrectly?

Yes, it's likely that you are entering your Membership Number or Password incorrectly, please check these very closely.

With regards to your password, please note that 0 (Zero's) and O's are easy to confuse with each other, please check very closely.


My login details do not work, I have the right details and have checked these closely, help!

Please ensure that your browser is accepting cookies from our website. Without cookies enabled, even if you have the right login details and have entered them correctly you will be logged out the moment that you login, therefore you won't be able to access your account.

If you think this may be the problem, please check or change your cookie settings. 90% of our users access this website through Internet Explorer, to change cookie settings in Internet Explorer, try:

Tools >> Internet Options >> Privacy (Tab)
We would suggest 'Accepting All Cookies' while you are visiting our website.


Access Restrictions

Your account may have been restricted, this may be because:

a) Your registration period has expired.
b) You are not a member.
c) You have updated your address and indicated that you no longer reside within the British Isles.
d) You have tried to record used the website in a manner which has caused us serious concerns.
e) You have misused the system and/or not complied with our terms of use.
f) We are working on the website and need to block access.
g) We feel that the security of your individual account has been compromised.
h) For the time being, we feel the need to suspend your account for other reasons.

What next?

Please note that in our experience, access problems are almost always 'user side' issues, however, in the unlikely event that your login details do not work and you are using the right details, have checked them closely and your browser is accepting cookies from the Counselling website:
