Fyvie

Fyvie Castle is famous for its ghost room, a murder room and a secret chamber. In 1920 the famous 'green lady ghost' is said to have been seen wandering forlornly and silently along the corridors and disappearing through the panels of a dark, wainscotted apartment.

A few years before a monster fungus had grown up in the gun-room and when masons and carpenters had removed the plant and were repairing the room, they discovered a complete skeleton.

This discovery seemed to signal the commencement of psychic disturbances and Lord Leith gave instructions for the skeleton to be rebuilt into the wall, whereupon 'normality' returned.
