In 1600s a girl and a boy played hide and seek the became locked in the cellar of magpie house which was close to the River Severn they had no escape when the river bursts its banks and flooded the cellar.
The children drowned instantly and the grief stricken parents erected a statue of them in marble. They have appeared in the place they died all them tears ago
