Before the quijaboard was fetched out people used a table so that the spirits could communicate that way with them. The table was a small antique one with narrow legs and light in weight.
The people would sit or stand around the table with there hands lightly placed on it.
If the spirit wanted to communicate the table would move up or down or shake slightly .Table tipping is still used today
as seen on the most haunted program.
